Who knew that my mother would make the perfect old lady for Halloween??!!! (That's Ada in pink!!!) |
When Lance flipped on the lights I HAD to run and get the camera! Pictures don't do it justice. It was such a beautiful sight to see my home lit up on the outside! This house is my dream house - for me it represents in part my love for Lance and the brood of children that will someday fill it. NEhoo, I think the house is beautiful! Can't you just imagine it all bricked and finished on the outside with some little flowerbeds around the front?! |

This is out of nowhere, I know, but I saw this pic and couldn't NOT post it. Most people know that I'm very patriotic at heart and want to continually remind people that there is a war on terrorisom going on here in the US and in foreign countries that is still costing american lives. I fully support the war and want to protect this lifestyle of freedom that we have here in America - even though there are some very very ignorant and ungrateful citizens that don't fully appreciate their freedom. This picture reminds me of why we fight, why we care, why we as a country NEED to take action, need to continue to take action. God Bless the USA, and Pray for our victory!

Last week I was finally able to find a siding contractor that wasn't trying to charge me an arm and a leg for simply hanging some vinyl soffits and a few square feet of vinyl "shake" siding. By the way - Hanke Bro.s charge and arm and a leg and want your first born child.
They were able to start work immediately - something that I negotiated for 'cause I want the brick mason to be able to start ASAP. Today is the 3rd day they have been working on it and it doesn't look like it will take them long!

What may look like a simple nature shot (taken near our house) is really a picture of a deer trying to hide from my camera. Click the pic to view larger. I'm always tellin folks that I see deer and they're like "yeah right". Here's proof! :)

This is what our brick looks like. It was delivered recently and hopefully will be put up soon. Today I went and looked at some references for the mason that I want to use - looked pretty good. I need to call him now.
In other news, I spent the weekend in Little Rock trying to get a flight out. But, they were all canceled. I may try next month maybe. Maybe. It wasn't a complete loss though, I got to meet up will some of my GOOD friends at the Funk's mansion for some BS and Brews. Hey Beck, I won. And you owe me for having to mop up your mess yesterday.
WTFO? Why did someone think this was a good idea for a recruiting tool for the UofA? Or even just a good idea? Beetle Bugs are pathetic - and if this is what they think represents the UofA - then they are definitely sending the wrong message! It does, however, represent our football team this year. Maybe Frank Broyles will give it to Huston Nutt as a parting gift. We can always hope. One thing is for sure, the cargo area will be AMPLE room for all his trophies! Read the Story.
W'sup Guys? I've been a little busy lately, keeping up with Army stuff and building a new house stuff. I'm also trying to arrange a Space-A flight for myself to go to Germany to visit my 2 roommates that I had in Abu Ghraib, Iraq. Sounds like some fun, eh? Well the house electrical wiring is so close to being finished. Soooo Close! Then on to cable, phone, and speaker wiring - then guess what - Sheet Rock! Fun! I'm trying to get my house siding up before I go to Germany too - then the brick layer can come in and get to work. I'm not posting any other pictures of the house until it looks different than the ones I have posted already. L8R, Annie.
