Putting On Lipstick

I DREAD the day that she beaks into my makeup and puts it on for real. I can see it now. Lipstick on her, lipstick on the walls, lipstick smeared everywhere. $7 lipstick in the trash. And 1 hour of cleanup. And one day, several years from now, I will think back and wish I had my little girl making messes again. So I will cherish everyday that I have with my sweet kids and not wish them to grow up or to wish them younger, but love them as they are this very day.
