Our Little Gymnast

on Friday, July 17, 2009

I always would watch the olympics and dream of being a gymnast as a child. Having never gone to gymnastics classes myself, I've always wanted to have that for my daugter (or son, if he so chooses). Since Lexa is potty trained now (YAY!!!!) I thought it was a great opportunity to reward our hard work with some gymnastics classes. I hoped that she would enjoy them as much as I would enjoy them for her. :)) We went down to the dancewear shop on the square, The Red Shoe, and picked up a super cute leotard, went home and got ready for our class at Aspire Athletics. As soon as that leotard was on her she was strutting around and we worked on little somersaults and got ready for class. And she LOVED it! She listened very well to the instructor, and had a blast the whole hour of the class. We are both looking forward to next week's class!!!! Yay Gymnastics!!!

About Mackenzie

on Friday, July 10, 2009

Friends and Family have been asking about our niece, Mackenzie, so I thought I would do a blog post of my own about her. As many of you know, Mackenzie has CF, and she is currently at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She had some cold symptoms that weren't getting better so her Doctor didn't waste any time and decided to admit her to ACH this past Monday. Read more on The Jobes blog.
Please drop her a card or visit if you are in the area.

Above all Pray for her health and a cure for CF!!! There are medications that are still in the trial stages that are very promising!

Standing Tall

I hear some jabbering from Logan's room and I walk in to see him standing up in his bed! This is a first - he has started to pull up on things more and more and is crawling around the house like a champ!

4th of July fun

Gosh we had just a wonderful time at our 4th of July party this year. 35 in the group picture and there were 4 missing. We had so much good food and drink and the fireworks display was the best we've had. Every year it gets better! This year we had an awesome photographer come out to take some family portraits and candids and she did a fantastic job. http://foshefotos.blogspot.com/ Go there for more pictures of our event; they are not all on there but there is a good sample. I should get the disk with all of them in a week or two and I will get some more up here.

Happy 4th!
