Paint Colors

The blue color is Behr "Soft Denim" and is in the laundry room and will be in one of the bedrooms. The brown color is Behr "Smokey Taupe" and is in two of the small short hallways; it looks like chocolate milk when we opened the can! Can't remember the color name of the ceiling color, but it is very off-white.

Slate Tile

This is a sample of the slate tile sealed with a semi-gloss sealer. This tile will be in the laundry room and the kitchen. Bellissimo! Why do I like slate, well first of all I love the natural look and I love using real stone - infact all tile and countertops in the house will be real stone. My love of slate comes from when my Grandma and Grandpa J. took me and my brother on a road trip to Tennesee one year - along the way we made a lot of stops, let's call them "nature breaks". My Grandma showed me the slate in the stream beds and I was facinated. So, that's part of the reason I love this slate tile. This picture is of some that I have sealed to install in the laundry room - it won't get darker.

Sheet Rock is DONE!

The sheetrock crew showed up at 8am and got busy in a hurry. The supervisor told me that it would take a day and a half to two days to hang the sheetrock. Wow! We couldn't dream of doing it that fast! So glad we hired it out!
